Product availability in Odoo 13 eCommerce – CBMS Odoo ERP

Product quality is very important in maintaining consumer satisfaction in any e-commerce market. For efficient eCommerce working, the customer must have a clear understanding of the quality of goods on the eCommerce platform. This will help customers keep them tuned back to the service. Popular e-commerce websites also give the product status, whether it is available or not. Odoo E-commerce will provide customers with information about the e-commerce platform’s availability of goods.

Configure Availability by Setting Availability option:

Go to the Product page – Ecommerce Tab – Availability.
Mainly four availability options are available.
1. Sell regardless of inventory
2. Show inventory on website and prevent sales if not enough stock
3. Show inventory below a threshold and prevent sales if not enough stock
4. Show product-specific notifications

When we select “Show inventory on website and prevent sales if not enough stock”, the product will show but it can not be sold and purchased. And the customer will be notified as “Temporarily out of stock”.

We can also provide custom messages. For this feature, we have to select “Show product-specific notifications” in Availability options. and write a specific message like ‘Product Not Available’ or ‘Temporarily out of Stock’.
