With Odoo Sales, you can configure different addresses for delivery and invoicing. For some customers, it will be very practical to define specific billing and shipping addresses. Indeed, not everyone will have the same delivery location as the invoicing location.
The address is a particular place or location, where a piece of information is stored or where a formal speech is delivered to an audience. It is the easiest way for the identification of a particular person or location to communicate with them. The address consists of the building name/number, the street, phone number, pin code, state, district, mail_id, and its details for more precision in the communication. The address of a customer, refers to the information about a customer, how to contact him. Under the sales module, one can see while creating a customer, the field for adding addresses. It is to contact the customer during the different stages of sales. There may be more than one address for a person to contact on different occasions.
When you create a quotation, you must add a customer. This customer can be a company or a person with specific billing and shipping addresses already defined and registered in the system, or it can be a new customer. In this case, you have to create and edit the contact form for your new customer and link it, if necessary, to a company. In this contact form, you will be able to add, delete, and modify invoice and delivery addresses.
If you select a customer with a defined invoice and delivery address, Odoo will automatically use them to fill in the fields. Now, if you want to change it instantly, it is possible to do so directly from the quotation or the sales order.
