Odoo has been a booming topic among ERP users in a short span of time. It is a user-friendly, reliable ERP so that each year they come up with new features which enhance business and make the system more feasible. 

In each version, additional features are added which makes the system updated. In the previous version ie Odoo14 we have seen additional features such as widgets, snippets, etc also new modules such as data cleaning.

Odoo’s experience has been conducting for the last few years in addition to the latest release. Last year as the widespread of COVID 19, it was conducted virtually.

In this blog, we are going to discuss some of the expected features in Odoo 15 which is expected to be released in October 2021.

Editable graph and pivot view:

The main and most discussed feature of odoo15 is the editable pivot and graph views. As a part of user ease, odoo added a feature where users can edit the views accordingly, 

For example, If the user has a bar graph in which he/she wants to compare it with the ERP so that they can change the graph view into bar, pie, and line.

From the toggle studio, one can edit the view accordingly. Also, they can sort the graph either in ascending or descending.

Import Screen:

A new import screen view has been added in odoo15. The main highlight of this feature is that, while importing invoices an additional feature to handle cash rounding, currency exchange rate, etc has been added. One can choose the developed cash rounding methods here

From Version 14 onwards, the import records menu can be found in favorites.

HTML Editor:

One of the odoo15 expected features is a new HTML editor. HTML editor is a text editor for designing web pages via Html codes. Here is the new Html editor,

This feature can ease the work of developers and also can attract more users to odoo.

Point Of Sale Coupons And Promotions:

Coupons and promotions have been a major part of sales. We have found other methods to add coupons and promotions to previous versions. In odoo15, we are expecting a feature for coupons and promotions. Where one can enable coupons and promotions for point of sale,

One can enable coupons and promotions. Also can create promotions and coupons accordingly.

Here is an example of promotion :

Where one can set the quality, min amount to purchase, reward, discount percentage, validity, etc.

One can also create coupons, for that first we have to set the basic things such as min purchase amount, validity, reward, discount, etc as shown below,

One can also generate the coupons and then send codes via email to the customers.

Also, from the point of sale, we have an option to enter the coupon code and it will reflect in the orders and invoices.

Cover image for project tasks:

For the easy identification of the tasks, odoo15 has come up with a feature, where one can set a cover image for the tasks in the kanban view.

This will help the end-users for the easy identification of the tasks.

Assets view:

A database structure view to add assets from the user interface is an additional feature in odoo15

Notes:

An Html editor view has been added in the notes, where one can adjust the font size, color, bullets, etc easily.
