Reports are used in a business organization to uniquely assess the operations performed in a company. Facts can be viewed in a clear and precise way manner which helps to manage critical information in a better way. It can be considered as a communication tool that effectively shares information that we want to reveal. Also, the business report enables you to critically analyze the progress of business in all areas of the organization. It guides decision making and allows business owners and senior managers to examine and address any issues identified.

Reports are available for different modules like Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, CRM, POS, Project, Manufacturing, Human Resource Management, E-commerce and websites, and many other small modules including subscription, Rental, etc.

First, let us take go through some of the modules:
In the case of the sales module, it provides the sales analysis including reports on quotations and sale orders on different dates.

In the Purchase module, we have a purchase analysis containing reports on purchase orders and quotations.
Inventory module contains the report on warehouse analysis where we can analyze transfers occurred in different days, inventory report that shows the total onhand of each product and its value, Forecasted inventory report that shows the forecasted stock of each product based on month and year. This module also has an inventory valuation reports for each product and product moves can also be viewed separately.

If we look into the Accounting module it provides several reports such as profit and loss reports, Executive summary, Cash flow statements, a Balance sheet that helps to view financial flows in a company and to evaluate the performance. It also contains partner reports including partner ledger reports, aged receivables, aged payables. There is a separate section for audit reports which includes general ledger, trial balance, tax report, journal audit, etc. We also have the analytic report, invoices report, assets report, product margins report, and budget analysis.

In CRM we can have lead analysis, pipeline analysis to analyze the opportunities, activity analysis, Partnerships.

In POS we can view and also download reports on sales details by applying some filters. In this case, we have to make sure that a layout is set for the report which can be done from the settings.

In Human Resource Management we can analyze the attendance of each employee, recruitment analysis, payroll reports. If we take the case of the website we also have reported on online sales analysis.

If we look in detail we also can see many options to decide what all things that are needed to be viewed in a report.

Let us come back to the Sales module:
In the Sales analysis, we have mainly three views dashboard view, pivot view, and graph view. Every view has an option to select the measures ie.in what measure the details need to be shown.This includes count,volume,discount%,quantity delivered,quantity ordered etc.We can group the report using company, order date, unit of measure, sales team, salesperson, etc. In the dashboard view and graph view, we again have some views including a bar chart, pie chart, line chart. These details can be again filtered by sale orders, quotations and it is also possible to add custom filters. We can also specify the time range based on the ordered date for example: orders in the last 7 days. Another cool feature in reports is favorites option which includes the option to save the current search in the report, add reports to Dashboard(Reports can be viewed in dashboards module), and also to the Google Spread Sheet. In the pivot view, we have the option to flip the axis and download the report as Xls file.
