In Odoo 19, adding a new stage directly from the list (tree) view of the Project module is enabled by default—it’s usually done in the Kanban view.
However, you can customize this behavior. Below are two methods to allow adding a project stage from a list view.
✅ Option 1: Enable “Create” in the List View for Stages
If you want to manually add stages from the list view, follow these steps:
Go to Project — Configuration — Stages
If “Stages” is not visible, activate Developer Mode (Settings — Activate Developer Mode), then refresh.
Now navigate to:
Project → Configuration → Project Stages
You’ll see a list view (tree view) of stages.
Click “Create” (bottom) to add a new stage manually.
This doesn’t require code—it’s available in the backend.
