Creating Tasks from the Odoo 18 Website App
1. Install Necessary Modules:
Ensure the following modules are installed in your Odoo database:
Website
Project
2. Create a Website Page:
Go to Website Pages and create a new page.
Give it a suitable name and URL.
3. Add a Form Building Block:
In the website editor, add a Form building block to the page.
Configure the Form:
Action: Select “Create a Task”.
Fields: Add the necessary fields for your tasks:
Name: (Required)
Description:
Project: (If you want to assign tasks to specific projects)
Assignee: (To assign tasks to specific users)
Customer: (If applicable)
Due Date:
Tags:
4. Customize the Form:
Design the form to match your website’s aesthetics.
Add labels, placeholders, and any other visual elements.
5. Publish the Page:
Click “Publish” to make the page accessible to website visitors.
6. Test the Form:
Visit the published page and fill out the form.
Submit the form. A new task should be created in the Odoo Project app.
