In Odoo 19, managing sections and notes in the Sales Order lines (often referred to as “Product Lines”) can be done either via the user interface or through customization, depending on what exactly you want to achieve — delete or duplicate them.
📌 Context:
In Sales Orders (or Invoices), sections are used to group product lines, and notes are for adding text-only lines that aren’t products. These are types of sale.order.line with specific display_type values:
section → for sections
note → for notes
line (normal product line)
🔴 To Delete Section or Note (via UI)
Go to: Sales → Orders → Sales Orders
Open a Sales Order
Click the “trash” icon on the left side of the Section or Note line.
You can only do this if the order is in draft/quotation state.
🟢 To Duplicate Section or Note (via UI)
There is no native duplicate button for individual lines (unlike full Sales Orders). You can either:
Manually add a new line and retype the Section or Note.
Or duplicate the entire Sales Order and then edit.
