Before you can track any stock, Odoo needs to know where your products are kept. That starts with setting up your warehouses and the locations inside them. In this video, I show you how to create a warehouse, give it a name and short code, and organize its storage areas, such as shelves, racks and bins, so every product has a clear place to sit.
We begin in the Inventory app, where you’ll set up your first warehouse and review its default settings. Then we look at creating locations, arranging them in a simple hierarchy, and choosing the right type for each one. You’ll also see how operation types link to your warehouse, so receipts, deliveries and internal transfers each know where to go.
Whether you’re managing a single storeroom or several branches, a clean warehouse setup makes everything that follows, from receiving goods to shipping orders, faster and more accurate.
