MTO in Odoo stands for Make To Order. It’s a specific inventory management strategy within the software. #mto #odooinventory #odoofunctionalvideos

Here’s a breakdown of MTO in Odoo:
Concept: With MTO, Odoo triggers production of an item only after a sales order is confirmed. This means you don’t manufacture or purchase products to keep in stock.

Benefits:
Reduced carrying costs: MTO minimizes storage needs and keeps inventory levels low.

Increased flexibility: You can accommodate customer-specific requirements since products are built to order.

Configuration:
MTO is an archived route by default in Odoo. You need to unarchive it in the Inventory – Configuration – Routes section.
To use MTO for a product, go to the product details, navigate to the Inventory tab, and select the “Replenish on Order (MTO)” route. It’s important to choose another route (e.g., “Buy”) alongside MTO, specifying how the product will be acquired.
