How to Get Customer Location in Odoo 19 CRM | Odoo 19 CRM Tutorials | Odoo 19 Functional Tutorials – CBMS Odoo ERP

To get a customer’s location in Odoo 19 CRM using Maps, you typically want to:

Capture the customer’s address in the CRM.

Use a map widget or integration (like Google Maps) to show or fetch the location based on that address.

Odoo 19 (from Odoo 13 onwards) has built-in support for Google Maps integration in some views, especially for partners (customers) and leads.

2. Activate Google Maps Integration in Odoo

Go to Odoo Settings:

Navigate to Settings — General Settings.

Scroll down to Integrations.

Look for the Google Maps API Key field.

Paste your API key and Save.

This will enable maps across supported modules like Contacts, CRM, and Sales.

3. Use Maps in CRM
Now that Google Maps is enabled:

Go to CRM — Leads or Opportunities.

Create or open a lead.

Make sure you fill in a valid address (street, city, country, zip).

You’ll now see a Map icon or location preview next to the address (depending on your configuration and view).

Clicking the icon will open Google Maps in a new tab with the customer location.

4. View Map in Contacts (Customer Form)
Navigate to Contacts — Customers.

Open any customer record.

If the address is complete, you’ll see a “View on Map” link or an embedded map (depending on your Odoo UI).
